How to Use Plycutter
- Upload an STL file designed with clearly visible sheets (use your CAD program's 'shell' or 'offset' command)
- Adjust the sheet thickness to match your material (default: 3mm)
- Set tolerance based on your fabrication precision (default: 0.1mm)
- Click "Process STL" to analyze the file and extract 2D profiles
- Preview the extracted sheets in the canvas above
- Click "Download DXF" to get your laser-cutting file
Note: This is a browser-based JavaScript implementation of the original Python tool. The 3D model must be designed specifically for this purpose, with each sheet clearly defined as a separate planar surface.
